A private jet owned by Motley Crue frontman, Vince Neil, was involved in a deadly collision at Scottsdale Airport in Arizona on Monday, 10 February.
The aircraft veered off the runway while landing and struck a parked plane. Tragically, the pilot was killed, while several others sustained injuries.
The 64-year-old vocalist was not aboard at the time, but his girlfriend, Rain Andreani, and her friend, Ashley, were among the passengers. Both were hospitalised, with Andreani reportedly suffering five broken ribs. Their dogs, who were also on the flight, survived the crash.
Authorities believe the accident was caused by a failure in the aircraft’s left landing gear. Emergency responders arrived swiftly, and the airport temporarily closed its runways for investigation. The Federal Aviation Administration is now examining the incident.
Neil’s manager confirmed the singer’s safety and expressed condolences to the deceased pilot’s family, while the band Motley Crue have also pledged to support those affected. The aircraft was registered to a company called Chromed in Hollywood, which is owned by Neil.
As the investigation unfolds, Neil has thanked first responders and expressed relief that his loved ones survived the tragedy.
